Lucy Gets a Surprise Visitor

Today is a sick day! Courtney has the flu, Londyn has the flu, Lucy had the flu, and Isaac and I are home to attempt to be good caretakers. Isaac already had his bath earlier in the morning and as Lucy took her's, Isaac decided to get in too, with all his clothes on. Once in the tub, he realized what he had done and he didn't like the feeling of a bath with all his clothes on so he started crying. It was pretty funny! He's at that age when you don't know what he's going to do next.

Lucy's First Lost Tooth

Lucy lost her first tooth at age 5 right before Halloween. I asked her if it hurt and she said, "no, I just wiggled it and it 'falled' right out." This picture was taken at the Santaqueen after we were done trick or treating. Her older siblings stayed with her for a while and then went with their friends for the rest of the night. Lucy and Daddy decided to celebrate her gobs of candy, by getting an ice cream cone and a hamburger(that's healthy!!). The weather was perfect and there were lots of little monsters running around town. It's the one time a year I get to have hair on my head. The picture above is me on my way to work! I just thought it was a funny wig, I wasn't anyone inparticular.

Ryan's Deer Hunt

Not the trophy buck I was hoping for, but a great trip none the less. We were up in the high mountains of southern Utah for 5 days in a 3 season tent. It was quite cold at night, but thank heavens for a buddy heater that kept us warm when needed. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the mountains and terrain. After spending 3 nights in a tent, we asked JJ if we could sleep in her vacant house in Panguitch and luckily for us there was even hot water for a sorely needed shower and a place to get out of the wind. We were camping, but we also snuck into town for some hot meals too. My favorite was the bacon burger at The Merc in Antimony. I got this little buck on opening day as evening approached and he was standing still between two pine trees hoping I didn't see him. A 30 yard shot from the four wheeler trail, he practically fell onto my four wheeler. It doesn't get any easier than that! Brady got his deer on the morning of the last day right after it snowed 3 inches on us, which works to our advantage to see those wiley, wiley deer!
