Mother's Day 2011

My Mother's Day wish came true without too many tears. Pictures with my children once a year... shouldn't be too much to ask. I had a great day of course. Being a wife and mother are my greatest joys in life!!

Playing catch-up with some missed pictures...

Saying good-bye to Gramma and Grampa. Londyn is 13, the same age that her Gramma was when she stopped growing. Luckily for Londyn she is just starting her growth spurt, so this is the last time they will be the same height. (April 2011)

Ryan helping our neighbor prune his apple tree. We are trying to keep him off his rickety ladder as much as possible, but you can only do so much. A few days after this picture, he was up on it again pruning another tree and fell. An ambulance came and after a stay in the hospital he's been chair ridden and on crutches from a broken ankle. Too bad some men have to learn their limits the hard way.

Mother......

Starts with one woman......

Who holds her babies close and takes care of them her whole life....

Is the first to embrace and hold her grandchildren just like she did years ago.....

Who loves to do fun things and willing to do most anything....

Who can laugh along side her children......

Who supports, loves, and encourages us to be the best we can....

One woman. One Family. One Mother!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!

Spring Break -- Goblin Valley

GIRLS... (Lucy and Londyn)

BOYS... (Adam and Kue)
A world all it's own

We stopped at a view point on the drive down and found some fun rocks to explore on.

Then, we finally made it to Goblin Valley, after staying a night in a hotel.

The kids at the top of their 2 hour hike with Ryan.

Isaac and I stayed at the bottom

Conference Sunday

The kids had a great time with Gramma and Grampa in between sessions of Conference. We woke up to 6-8 inches of snow, then when the sun came out it was perfect to play outside.

A good ol' fashion snow ball fight...

Here's the set up with their blockades and snow ball reserves.

...and the ambush begins... 2 points for Grampa ...but Londyn got him back in the end.
Lucy thought it was too warm for a coat.
and of course Maggie has to have her fun too catching snowballs, as many as Grampa would throw.
Adam and Lucy must be pooped out from too much fun and sun, which explains the nap during the second session of Conference, or was that Londyn?

The snow was heavy and wet, so held Adam's weight no problem

Welcome Spring

First daffodils of the season in our front yard. So cheery and uplifting. Spring is my favorite season of the year.

...while Lucy and Dad fertilize the garden.

Time to decrease the size of our flock. These 2 roosters will be someone elses dinner. These were 2 of the 4 babies from last spring that Londyn mothered. We already have and only need 1 rooster. The poor hens get picked on too much otherwise.
