break out the horses...

Why is life so busy? Londyn has been asking all Spring to ride the horses, and it finally happened the first of June. It's not that big a deal, yet it is too. We need to remember what it's like to be so care-free like a child.

School's out!!!

These are pictures the day after school got out. Kids think it's automatically summer, so break out the slip-n-slide. The weather still doesn't get HOT till end of June. We've had a lot of rain and cooler temps, but they don't seem to care.

Notice the bubbles in the water... They would lather themselves up with soap to make them slide faster...

Adam trying to get "Buff" like his dad...

Adam's been on a weight lifting kick lately. This happens every once in a while. He brought some weights down to his bedroom so he can exercise before bed. Here, Ryan is trying to teach him how to do a correct push-up, but hard to do when laughing. Don't worry Adam, there's hope, your dad looked just like you when he was your age, and now look how nicely he filled out. Like Father like son. They are always teasing each other with who's the better looking...

Spring Chicks

We weren't expecting to get any chicks since our hens aren't very good "setters". But 1 out of the dozen decided to sit on these eggs, and about 3 weeks later she got her first baby. You can see one of the eggs cracking here.

Only 3 survived the ordeal and it's been so cute watching them follow their mother everywhere.

Good-Bye 4th Grade and 6th Grade

Adam and Mr. Craig
Adam had a GREAT year in 4th grade. He loves school and was sad to see it come to an end. I remember 4th grade being my favorite. I think it's the last "fun" grade before it gets "serious".

Londyn and Mrs. Anthony
Londyn's last year of elementary school... Now it's off to Junior High... Scary!!!

Summertime Favorites-- Watermelon and Popsicles

Lucy and Roxy sharing watermelon on a beautiful day. She wants to have a picnic everyday, so sometimes we just improvise and call this a picnic.

Sharing whether she wants to or not...
