Courtney's trip to Georgia

A couple pictures of my family. This is my dad with nephews, Boston and Kendall.

Me and my sister, Carey with our Gramma vander Horst

And the main reason I went was to see my Grampa Warner who is fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Isn't he adorable. I love him so much. It was hard to say good-bye. I always love going to their home where you feel comfortable and love and peace.

Lucy's 3rd Birthday

Lucy's favorite color is PINK, if you can't already tell. All she wanted for her birthday was a pink cake with pink candles. Mom delivered, but she didn't seem to mind opening additional presents as well.
This pink "dancing dress" as she calls it was passed down from her cousin, and if it is clean she is wearing it. She loves to put on her music and dance, dance, dance. She's got quite the moves. I think we need to put her in dance lessons so her moves can be a little more organized.

Stealing licks from the frosting... her favorite part

Someone gave Lucy her 1st set of fingernail polish, so naturally she wanted to do it all by herself. She's a big girl now as she self proclaims, and lives up to the title pretty well-- fully potty trained, goes to pre-school without mommy (well, 1/2 the time), and we're still not ready for nursery by ourself (thus, mommy is the nursery leader), but most other tasks around the house "I can do it myself" she says. She's excited to be a Big Sister, and prays that "the baby will come out of mommy's tummy soon." She thinks it will be a girl. Me too.... hmmmmmm... We'll find out on the 16th.

Pig Wrestling Anyone???

This is Londyn getting sprayed off by the fire hoses after her pig wrestling event. Bet you don't have this in your town (well, I know one family that might... You know who you are...) Us small town folk get into this sort of thing. And leave it to our Tom-boy daughter to participate. She did great, but not enough team-work to get that big pig in the barrel-- not to mention the slippery conditions. She had fun and can't wait till next year!!!

Utah's Hogle Zoo -- Our last outing before school started

This is as close as we could get to the gorilla. He was being shy and lazy in his pen.

Have you ever seen anything cuter? The giraffes were our favorite and where we spent the most time.

An Early Harvest

This is our only pumpkin success this year. We haven't had luck in the past either. We had to pick these before they shriveled up and died just like our other 3 plants. I think the bugs got to them. Oh, well. Adam had fun carving them in August, a couple months early. It's trial and error each year with our garden. We're learning what works(beets, beans, cucumbers--sort of, zucchini--finally, potatoes--yummy, and corn--sort of) and what doesn't(carrots--too bitter and stubby, broccoli--too bitter and buggy, cabbage, pumpkins, tomatoes--small and green). It's all a learning process, but a good experience none-the-less.

Computer woes...

So, after a week of thinking we had no computer and doing some research to find a new one, I thought I would play around with all the cords and give it another go. Much to my surprise it worked, but only for 1/2 hour then shut down again. So, it's on the fritz, but we'll make the most of the time it allows us to do some work here and there.
